Cedars are not our problem is the Hill Country...our real problem is eroded, degraded soils. When I do habitat restoration, the focus is on soil restoration and protection, management of water flows, the introduction or protection of vegetation diversity and brush sculpting. Introduction of trails and overlooks, as shown below, is low impact and ultimately benefits the environment.
